bestgamers.com (“we”, “us”) is a magazine-style editorial website about competitive PC gaming. We publish three pieces every Sunday — one profile, one review, one setup. This page explains what data we collect from visitors, why we collect it, and how it’s used.

1. What we collect

When you visit bestgamers.com we collect, either directly or through third-party services, the following categories of information:

• Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, scroll depth, referrer, approximate location (country / city), browser, device type, and operating system. Collected via Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-VWE5TYY0R2).
• Cookies — small text files stored in your browser. Used for analytics attribution, advertising personalization, and affiliate link tracking. See cookies below.
• Advertising identifiers — Google AdSense and its ad partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, and interaction data to serve and measure ads. See advertising.
• Email address — only if you voluntarily subscribe to our Sunday Drop newsletter via the signup form. Used only to send the weekly digest, not shared with third parties for marketing.

We do not ask for or store any of the following:

• Your name, postal address, or phone number
• Payment information (we don’t sell anything directly)
• Account credentials (we don’t have accounts)
• Sensitive personal data of any kind

2. Cookies

Cookies are used by three classes of service on this site:

• Google Analytics — sets analytics cookies (_ga,_ga_*) to measure traffic. Data is anonymized for IP address (IP anonymization is on by default in GA4). No advertising features are enabled.
• Google AdSense and its ad partners — set cookies for ad personalization, frequency capping, and measurement. Details and opt-out at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
• Amazon Associates — when you click an affiliate link and visit Amazon, Amazon sets cookies to attribute any subsequent purchase to bestgamers. No personal data is shared back to us; we receive aggregate commission reports only.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not break the site’s reading experience; you will simply not be counted in our analytics and may see less relevant ads.

3. Advertising

bestgamers.com is supported by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and elsewhere on the web.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You may also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

4. Affiliate links

When we recommend a product in a review or setup feature, we sometimes include a link to that product on Amazon. These are affiliate links — if you click through and buy anything on Amazon within 24 hours, bestgamers receives a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, bestgamers earns from qualifying purchases.

Affiliate revenue does not change what we recommend. We’ve never received free product, sponsorship, or any other incentive in exchange for coverage, and we never will. Every review reflects only our editorial judgment.

5. How we use information

The data we collect is used only for:

• Understanding which pieces resonate with readers (analytics)
• Improving site performance and reading experience
• Serving advertising that pays for the site to exist
• Attributing affiliate sales to the correct source
• Sending the weekly newsletter (only to subscribers)

We never sell any data to third parties, full stop. We never share email subscriber lists with advertisers, sponsors, or anyone else.

6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to:

• Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Request correction or deletion of that data
• Opt out of personalized advertising
• Opt out of analytics tracking
• Withdraw consent for any processing at any time

7. Children’s privacy

bestgamers.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this privacy policy as our practices evolve or as required by law. The “Last updated” date below reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be disclosed prominently on the homepage.
